• More comfortable jumping out of an air plane

Posted on September 2, 2013 by in Adventure Awaits, Give-Away, Latest Updates

My Mother-In-Law turned 70 this year, 4 days after Mick Jagger did. I asked my husband, “Can you imagine your mother strutting around on stage in leather pants?” To which he replied, “Yes, I can.”

When we asked her what she wanted for her Birthday she said she wanted to go skydiving.  We double and tripled check and the answer was the same every time, so we are going skydiving on Thursday the 5th

Kate On the Zip line 2012

After the Zip Line last year at the Kreamer Yarns knitting retreat I am feeling pretty comfortable with this.  I’ll admit I am nervous and I am not rushing to clean the bathroom, or buy a lot of groceries, just in case, but if something does go wrong there will be very little I can do about other than enjoy the view and try to remember to tuck and roll.

My telling you is two fold,

1.) Incase something does happen and you don’t hear from me for a while (or ever), I am leaving all my yarn to my Friend Clara and my Sister-In-Law Tresa. Ask them if you want anything.

2.) I respond to that good ole can’t pass up a dare, won’t let my brothers call me a sissy effect. I would really be embarrassed if I paid, took the class, got in the plane and could not jump out.

Funny, I am nervous about jumping out of a plane, but terrified of rejection and have panic attacks over social situations. Now there is T-Shirt to wear to the next big, crowed affair,

“I am more comfortable jumping out of an air plane.”

    See Ya Friday!!

Nope. Not me. Don’t get me wrong, I get panic attacks about social situations too…but just the thought of jumping out of a plane and that roller coaster weightlessness feeling is enough to make me want to hide under the covers. I’m impressed at your bravery. I hope you have a great time!!

Remind me to tell you the story of my dad’s paratrooper days in the army. His shoot did not open. So my advice is enjoy the ride and tie up all those WIP’s before thursday. Smiley face, smiley face.:)

Please leave me your stuffed animal Jake!

OMG I can’t believe you didn’t tell me about this! I’m nervous for you!

I am wicked excited for you! My girlfriend did that for her 40th birthday. Ironically her husband is terrified of flying. Of course he then affected her son’s attitude, so he and their son waited by the car (not even in the landing area!) until she was done.

Have fun and don’t break a leg!!
