• How the Hats are doing

Earlier this summer I agreed to a challenge to knit 25 hats for donation by the end of October. Well, here are the current hats-

3 complete 4 on the needles

But I have also been designing some hat patterns to be released this fall.

I have created a hat pattern to give away at the Kraemer Yarns Retreat the end of September, sorry can’t show you that one yet, I will release it right before the retreat. Currently it is off to the test knitter.

Plus I actually made a submission for an eBook. The book is the idea of Kyle William, he designed this hat in 2011 with all the proceeds going to Living beyond Breast Cancer. Just recently he sent out a call for submissions to make an eBook of patterns with all the proceeds going to Living Beyond Breast Cancer.

Something sparked in me and I grabbed my needles, some stitch dictionaries and my old stand, by Cascade 220 and I was off. I was really nervous making my submission, even more nervous when I sent it. I do not take rejection well.

    Woo Hoo it was accepted!!

I get to knit another one in a color that will blend with the other submissions, which is good because I wanted to keep this one.

So Hats have been pretty good to me lately.

Are you knitting any items for donation I would LOVE to hear about it.

    Blissful Knitting,

I am knitting hats for our local homeless shelter which is organized by many local churches who take turns hosting guests a week at a time. My goal is 12 by cold weather. Need to get stitching! Would love some pattern ideas as ribbing and stockinette ore quickly becoming boring.
