• Hurricane Sandy

Posted on October 29, 2012 by in Inspiration, Knitting, Latest Updates

I live a 35-minute train ride north of New York City. Incase you have not heard, there is a hurricane coming. The second hurricane in 14 months as a matter of fact, but who is counting.

So the race to get supplies has begun. The cellular appliances are being charged while candles and matches are being gathered. I am pretty sure this is the only time D batteries sell out.

They say high winds and endless rain are coming our way. I am sure the power is going out, the question is, for how long?

Luckily, I am a knitter. All I need is light, sticks and some pretty yarns and I can keep myself busy for months. I am sure, when considering my stash, I am good for years, but that my dear knitter is another story.

Here is the beginning of my entertainment.

Decadent FibersI have been asked by Decadent Fibers for 3 designs for next year. Here is the yarn for 2 of them, I see a  lovely lace sweater and a cardigan.

Shelridge FarmPlus I have this lovely Shelridge Farm worsted I want to play with. This is a wonderful worsted weight super-wash yarn. There is at least one or two kids sweaters here.

Then there are these lovelies to work with. If I get bored, then take me to the doctor, surely there is something terrible wrong with me.

So hurricane Sandy, bring it on, I have work to do and you are not going to stop me!!!

Stay Safe everyone and Blissful Knitting,
